This connector can be used for connecting to a device that has a 8 pin mini din connection, it has many audio and video uses and is commonly used in the following applications.

1) Low-voltage power supply input connector on various pieces of equipment
2) Some Sony camcorders

Please note that this connector can only be used with a 8 pini mini din connection and will not work with any other mini din configurations.
